Autumnal arboreal by Donald McDonnell

Autumnal Arboreal

I like the strong outlines, gives the tree a Van Gogh look.

Like how you've approached this

This is bright, colourful and a bit abstract - which is great - as well as being a different subject for you.

Thanks John, Heather and Bobbie. I like how Vincent used line and colour - hence his influence. I began using ball point and then to old school ink for structure. The autumn colours looked warm and had a sense of freedom which made for the approach. The tree was outside in the small park by St Giles in the Fields Church vestry and a short distance from the frenzy of Oxford Street. Thanks again everyone.
