Brilliant!

It blasts off the screen already... I've never varnished watercolour: normally, I wouldn't see a need to, in fact it would detract from their surface quality, but using it in this unusual way (and proving it can be done: watercolour doesn't need to have all the impact of tea) changes the perspective on the usual rules and guidance. How you manage your colour blindness I don't know ... it sounds like a massive handicap, but then - those are what we're here to rise above (imagine that in the accents of Katherine Hepburn in the African Queen..). I read of someone using cold wax to seal a watercolour the other day: again, I've never done that; and it might not be appropriate for this painting - you'd want a clear varnish which didn't soften the impact, I imagine. Anyway, technical details to one side, you've produced a powerful bit of work!
