Hi,        The latest lesson in my drawing course involved creating some pictures using only 2 tones - Black and White.  I used Indian Ink to create this still life.  First time using a paint brush to create a picture - I'm feeling like a proper artist now! Simon
Very effective and striking Simon, your course seems to be going well, and you will learn a lot from this kind of monochrome work. Your enthusiasm and enjoyment is infectious!
This is a very clever design Simon.  You have described both objects with just 2 tones.  Tone is really important in most art work.  “It’s tone that does the work, but colour gets the credit”.
I like this Simon, well done.
Love Indian ink - make sure you clean your brushes out, though: it can murder 'em in cold blood.

Thanks!  The course only asked me to do one picture like this, but I might do a few more, as I enjoyed it so much.

Thanks.  I'm starting to realise that "less is more" as well.

Thanks.  I have done.  I'll be careful when I get them out again too.
A lovely medium to draw with, and it gives you a perfect example of countercharge  at its extreme! Good exercise Simon and a good result!
Love the highlight on the lid and bottle nice one Simon..
Well done that “ proper “ artist .
