I have always painted very realistically but want to experiment more with paint and move more towards semi abstract work.  This is my first attempt in Acrylic and would like any helpful comments please.  Not sure how to make image fit page?

I would tighten up a few areas of detail here and there, loose doesn’t mean losing control...  There’s too much of that blue/grey colour going on in the top third, drag some of the greens and yellow into it to break it up a little - also mix a deep blue green and fill in a few foreground areas to give some illusion of depth!

I agree with Alan above.  The principles of composition still apply to abstract art, so I would decide where the focus is and possibly try to apply the rule of thirds.  But it's your painting.

Thank you all for your helpful comments. I am going to have another go and try what you suggest Alan. It did not really occur to me that the old rules should still apply to abstract and semi abstract work so I have really learned something here.
