My apologies, but I don't seem to be able to get this upright! Any comments Alan? Regards John
Well I do like that sky enormously John! I’d probably soften the horizon and introduce just a bit of the sky colours into the sea near the horizon - not too much. A couple of silhouette figures positioned a third In from the left might add interest. Generally a good painting, what if any, are your concerns?
Just to add, it might be worth you looking at some beach scenes by Fred Cuming RA, and see how he handles the horizon - a master to learn from…

Many thanks Alan ! I did think about a seated figure on the sand to the left - don't know why I didn't put it in. I am a cloud fanatic and perhaps didn't want to distract ! I was concerned that of course I could not make the sun as dazzling as it is and I didn'.t really want to darken the clouds too much, so I hoped that the dark sea would do the job.  Thanks for the advice re Fred Cuming RA. Regards John T.
This is one of his, I thought the reflection in the sea was also worth looking at!

John, re getting pictures the right way up. I find if I rotate the picture 360 and the save it does the trick.
Great! But as I am somewhat computer illiterate what do I click on etc ? Many thanks, John T
John, where are your photos of your paintings? On a phone, an ipad, a computer? On the first two, if you view the photos you have taken, they will be in a gallery with all your other photos. If you click on the photo you want to upload there will be “ edit” somewhere on the screen. Click on “ edit”, make sure the photo is the right way up and then click “ done”. Do this even if it is already the right way up. This stops it changing position when you upload. I no longer transfer my photos to a computer so can’t remember the process there. Alan will know.
Many thanks Marjorie, Regards John.
