Thank you, Denise and Carol....I'm wondering if this is what you mean... I've numbered the following; 6, 7, and 8 (number 5 is not being used here) option 6... option 7... option 8... I know which of the first 4 options I'm currently swaying to, but I'm standing back from this for a tad, and looking again in some time with fresher eyes.
It’s still number 4 of the original batch for me!
Yes, I like 6 and 4. Can't decide which I like best.
I'm still liking no4. Where you have placed the green, Gerry, I was imagining how it would look with just the brown colour, there. Nothing on the castle or wall. Not so sure, now.
Haven’t commented already, but I think no. 4 works best.

Carol that would be an interesting take on it, thank you for the thought. The colour would almost play a supporting role, rather than leading. I feel, with this one, that would put the focus in the 'wrong' area for me....However it has given me food for thought for future ones in my series, where I will definitely attempt making an area become the focus by leaving the focal area in monochrome and painting everything else instead. I'm glad we have this forum to deliberate with artistic contemporaries. Thank you
Thank you Alan, Denise and Jenny. Much appreciated
Glad this has helped for a future reference, Gerry.
I going (against the tide) to agree with Denise, the 3rd Option works best for the overall composition and balance between coloured centre piece and surroundings.  Option 4 with the recessed wall and door is a little too subtle.
That’s the idea! Subtle, not overpowering…It’s all about what balances better, and there’s only one option that does that… But we all see things differently, that’s always going to be the case!
