This is a finished piece, which I'll post in my gallery to share, but, in the spirit of ever wishing to learn and progress, thought I'd post in the critique section opening it up for any feedback.
I'm currently focussing on a series of ink and wash where both are used to accentuate the focus, and to fade out. I welcome any feedback, comments, or thoughts, please. Thank you folks.

I'll forgive you for making me crick my arthritic neck, because I think - as Lynda said - that this is a big step forward from your previous work. But for those of us with cervical spondylosis, show it straight next time..... I agree with all she said: the lead-in to the castle is well done, your colours are delicate but still strong, and I admire the way in which you've shown the approach path without making it so strong that it competes with your subject, which is the building. I've no idea if your proportions are right, because I don't know the subject, but that doesn't matter if the picture works, which - it does.

Not a bad line and wash drawing Gerry!
In fact it has many good points, some already mentioned by Robert.
The lead in to the focal point is good, and I particularly like how you’ve introduced some of the castle colour into the pathway… that’s always a good thing.
The shadows are reasonably strong, they could have been exploited a bit more but I’m nitpicking…

Steph, thank you. Much appreciated. I've just had a look at your 2 gallery items... very good works, and as they are from a while ago I'm wondering whether we should excitedly anticipate newer works soon?
Jade, thank you. I think the subject type and the fading out approach would be great in pencil. Do share when you do
