Hope you read this Derek and dont mind me starting this thread for you i thought it was a general wip thread so i misled you and for that I apologise , please can we continue with the next stage of your painting as i found the initial stage was exciting and colourful . Again I am sorry that it caused consternation to the injured party but i hope he gets over it soon and you continue with this thread.Kind regards ..Syd

No problem Syd thanks and I have apologised to Alan on another thread. I did wonder and hoped someone would put me right.
This is yesterday work taking up a challenge in WetCanvas for a VG image or one of own choice in his style. I chose one they suggested as it suited my style. It can't be posted on the site until much later this month. It is on Wookey Hole rough, about 23 x 26cms and all with my credit card style.

I first created an image frame in pencil, first time Ihave done this, then did a sketch of the shapes with a pink conte crayon, first to hand, and then went in with the big shapes, not getting the right tone sky, needs a glaze of grey- but later. There are stars in it too. Figures in street and table and figures on terrace and Oo lots of things yet.

Works well - the rough watercolour paper is very receptive to acrylic, good quality acrylic anyway which you've obviously used, and it helps with the texture of the piece (and of course that's why you chose it). I like the fact that you've left it without fiddling it to death, and you have an impactful painting (is that a word..?) as a result.
