Tidying up ( yet again) I came across something I started years ago and never progressed. On the back is some stretch w.c. paper! It’s the start of a collage, on MDF, of Venice. I got all enthusiastic again so I have added a gondolier coming round the corner ( to be painted, it’s just sketched in pastel). I can’t even remember if it’s acrylic or oil but probably acrylic so as to stick down the collage. This is another case of becoming objective about something after time has elapsed. I couldn’t think where to go next years ago. Now perhaps I can.

Don’t expect that but I’m enjoying something different. I spent 10 mins on it before I started a pastel.

I really like this Marjorie. Collage adds so much interest and texture to a painting.
