Thank you for all for your comments they are appreciated and encouraging. Completed a bit more today but haven’t had much time to paint, still need to put the branches on the right hand side tree and add a bit of shadow and stress lines here and there. The other task is to add some fallen branches to the woodland floor and the odd sapling. Hope to finish it off tomorrow.

Come to the end , stopped now before I start fiddling with it. Thank you all for your kind comments as it’s progressed , they were very encouraging, and for putting up with my ramblings.Hope you like the finished painting.

It's come out really well, Paul. I do like that long format. We always ask, have I finished, this certainly looks it to me. With watercolour you can't keep coming back as you can with oil or acrylics - too risky.
