I was house bound yesterday, due to weather and avoiding the Christmas crowds in town etc, set up this scene and got stuck in throughout the day.
It’s an imaginary scene, old fashioned looking landscape I wanted it to be quite illustrative, think I’ve succeeded so .
Basic sketch and base colours added .

This is as far as I managed to get yesterday, I had intended finishing it off today but ended up looking after a sick granddaughter. Added some details , on the barn , like the idea of the snow sliding down the steep pitched roof, most barns in snow areas we’re set with a high pitched roof for that very reason , less weight on the roofing beams etc .

Thank you Sandra, Tessa and Susan , I appreciate your comments . Just had a little bit more time on this , think another half hour or so will see it off .
Sandra my granddaughter is a lot better today, can’t go to school as their rules are must stay away for 48 hours.
She had a school trip to Germany on Wednesday and came home Sunday night, think it’s mostly overtired and probably not eating properly when away.
