I think you should have a heavenly body descending from those clouds…magnificent.
Thanks very much Sylvia, I'm still working on the sky.
I think the sky is looking better than it was. Any opinions welcome. Good or bad. I'm moving on to the ship now but may go back to the sky, I am just leaving it alone for now. Not only is it a WIP, I learn as I go along.
I like the sky Denise and personally I would not do any more until it all almost completed, them tweak any areas needing it. It to easy to just touch it and ruin what you have done so well .
I've put the shell of the ship in for size, I've made it larger than my first attempt.
It staring to come together beautifully Denise, the clouds on the right look so much better. I think your ship is the right size and bigger and it will take over the whole painting , it looks like a ship in a storm with high seas as you said you wanted it to be.
Yes, it's coming along nicely - take a look at the website of the late Ken Bushe, a fine painter of clouds and skies; I think it's still online, and hope it is.  I think the changes to your ship were well-advised, and are working.

This is looking really dramatic Denise.
Looking good Denise the lull before the storm...
His website was still online Robert and what amazing clouds he did. I'm going to work a bit more on my clouds today and try to put a bit more colour in. Not to much but I want to make some changes now I have been looking at it. Hopefully I will get started on the ship tomorrow. Thanks Robert. Thanks for your comments Helen and Bari.
I've worked on the clouds some more and will come back to them at the end now, I think.
