Just sketching out ready for a pen and ink drawing not quite happy with the proportion, buildings are OK it's the people and cars need a bit more work.
Made a start on the ink while watching TV nice thing about pen & ink you can do it anywhere anytime. p
A bit like knitting😁
Yes Marjorie my good lady is knitting away as we speak...why do we feel guilty when we just sit and relax.

Relaxing is certainly important. I wouldn’t say art is relaxing. It’s exciting, absorbing, frustrating, satisfying and lots more. Reading a good book is relaxing for me. Oh, and knitting...but only when you get to stocking stitch and you can race away.

Well I think it's just about finished as it's just done  in a sketch pad I'll call it an exercise in perspective...
That's really nice!  Was it a dip pen you used for this?
Actually Marjorie I wish did find knitting relaxing...with me in the dim and distant  it was knit three and drop six.  Not tried for years .  Also unlike Bari I couldn’t sit front of a TV and create , but   then  I don’t watch much TV.
I’ve never tried knitting so can’t comment there! And I’ve no intention of starting any time soon... Painting is totally absorbing for me, but I find it can also be rather stressful at the same time. Not always but fairly often. Yes, I know it’s supposed to be a relaxing hobby, but it’s more than a hobby for me. I put everything into my work and find I’m rarely pleased with anything that I turn out, it’s always been that way, but it’s something that I don’t mind, because it spurs me on - all of which I suppose is better than sitting back with a large brandy and admiring your work in self indulgent conceit! All my work is done either in my studio or outside painting plein air, and like Sylvia, I also watch very little TV, particularly in the spring/summer months.

Alan, you could knit yourself a large blanket to keep you warm while you paint en plein air. And what’s a few dropped stitches ( Sylvia) - stick your hands through the holes, think “poncho”.
