This is the start of what is turning out to be a mixed media painting. I always saw it as a watercolour, graphik ink pen and grated inktense painting.  This is it with just the watercolours right at the beginning

So, last night I thought time for the graphik ink pens and rather let my inner child take over. Trust me on this, the purple tree line so needs to knocked back and the burnt orange is a lot more vivid in real life. And I think I need to emphasise the light on the path a bit more.   I like the right hand side though

It’s looking good Susan , and well done you for bringing it onto the forum as a work in progress, a brave thing to do, it’s quite daunting at first but great fun as well . Looking forward to seeing it develop into a great piece.

Onwards and hopefully upwards. That purple tree/bush line is still wrong, but I've got a strategy which hopefully will deal with it.
