This was a very early Color Pencil Drawing I did  way back in 2001 or 2002... Just playing with Prisma Color....  I decided to repaint this digitally because I think  the overall composition is good....
Here I am Re-inking with digital pens and markers and airbrushing the fish and plants.... I was thinking the rock was ok... but was also looking a little like a blob of pudding... Also the little fish face was looking to me like a amazed moron... too comical... I think I will go for a more reef affect with the rock...  Like the yellow highlight around the fish to make them pop.. Light from the top of the aquarium... Will add light blue background for water...
A lot more airbrushing here... managed to fix rock or rather made a flowery structure like a reef using no.5 brush and stamp brushes.... Fixed fish faces to be more realistic...  Happy with everything now.. just need to add back ground colors and blend, blend, blend....
Ok Here is final painting... "Swimming Angels"  Complete....    very happy with it... I think I will try to improve a lot of my old work over time.... I have a lot of graphite pencil work I never did anything more with... may try to pull some of those out...
Excellent artwork Eric .
Thanks Paul, I Appreciate it.....
I enjoy seeing the stages that you go through. And really admire your skill, not just in the painting itself, but the technology also. I am totally overwhelmed when it come to technology, so it’s something I could never do. (Just bought a new microwave, and picked the one with the least buttons to press…. Just one dial for temp, and one dial for time!) Cars are the same nightmare. I have an old banger of a car… no digital gadgets and gizmos, but went on holiday recently and had to hire a car. It was an absolute beast. All singing all dancing nonsense I could not get my head around (And I wasn’t even the one doing the driving 😂)
Thanks, Helen....
