Thank you all for your support and suggestions, I’m open to trying anything that will enable me to keep in painting the subjects I love doing . I will of course post on the forum what in trying and how it works out as I think more people have problems with fingers and hand due to many different ailments , disabilities etc and might find it useful to read .

Love the painting, sorry to hear about your hand problems. I had the Trapzium bone removed from both hands so have an idea of how you feel. I use a mini roller rule and a couple of other gadgets (see photo) for my occasional watercolour I run a damp magic sponge down the fine cut out to create a white line for masts and digging. Keep up the good work 👍
