Okey-doke = well, I must be doing something right with this, or you wouldn't have recognized him at all. I've seen the Pankhurst portrait - interesting study, which I must look at again; it'll probably throw me right out, though! Two more stages now ready: I've decided to use a very old method of painting heads, rather than a more direct approach; so if he looks like the green man now, it's because I've used terre verte and a lead white. This needs to dry before glazing over it, and probably a bit more opaque work as well: it's only ever going to be a sketch: can't hope to do as well as those who painted him when he was still alive - he's been dead now for just over 100 years; you wonder what he'd make of things today ..... he was disappointed enough with human progress at the time of his quite early death.
Robert nearly there IMHO. Maybe some darker tones to his RH hair and face.
