You're doing a great job with the rust Paul. This is one of your best yet. Interesting seeing the very practical set-up you have for painting too.
Robert , George and Sandra , thank you for your comments.  I’m pleased with the progress, need to be careful that I don’t over do the rust , the lower hull just needs a little more colour and the I will tackle the water which is very dark with a little bit of colour showing. I’ve had the shed since my fiftieth birthday Robert , be twenty eight years old this year, few boards changed and roofing felt a couple of times , it has an annual maintenance patching if necessary and a coat of protective colour. Hate to think what it would cost now as it was purpose made to my requirements by a local company that no longer exists , think I paid about five hundred at the fine , but it’s extra thick timber etc , the old guy said look after it and it will last you years , certainly wasn’t wrong still solid.
Had time to do a little more this afternoon, just a few details to add on the boat , no further work on the rust areas as it will start to be overworked, almost a muddy puddle now , but the hull is many shades of brown etc. I’ve added a green wash to the background hills , took a look and thought what the  hell did I do that for , often get to this stage and it looks absolutely horrible, bin or work on , usually work on and bring it together. Well I hope to get it back to looking decent, the next stage sorting out the water and background Will decided if it a reasonable painting or not .  THE UGLY STAGE. It looks worse in the photos than it actually looks.

Made a few changes to the background, feel a bit happier with it and I can work on it some more.

I would love to see it without the tape around it; anyway, it looks much better than the photograph. :-)
It’s on the Gallery Rhia , without the tape and in a white mount .
