Not a lot to see yet, but thought i’d start at the beginning!  One Roush Mustang is pretty special - this guy has two, which is just greedy IMHO 😁 Kev’s wife has asked me to paint both the black (left) and white (right) cars - I’ve done some initial Photoshop work to cut the cars out of fairly humdrum backgrounds and make them sit together comfortably. Got as far as transferring them to board tonight, hope to start whacking some paint on tomorrow.

Was away til Monday afternoon but I’ve had a couple of good evenings on this one: Looking forward to starting to block the dark areas in to get the contrast and reflections working.
Got a bit of time today so started to get some of the hard reflections in:
The detailing is starting to show already Anth . It’s looking good already , I do admire your skill and I’m looking forward to seeing it develop.
Cheers Dixie, hopefully you’ll see it advance fairly rapidly now! This one needs to be with its owner before the end of may and there are another four, possibly five lined up behind it!
No pressure then!! 😂😳
Ha, not much! I work best under pressure, deffo need my deadlines 😁
Me too Anthony. I put it off if I haven’t got a deadline. Recently completed a pet portrait (three dogs running with a very big stick), which I started in Feb, for a May completion. I dipped and dabbed with it for ages before I then forced my own deadline by telling the lady that it would be ready by a particular date! My husband said that I could have painted the Sistine Chapel quicker….
Did exactly the same with my last one, admittedly it was a bit of a monster but I was on with it for six months and did half the work in the last two weeks 😁
As Denise reminded me in a recent post - producing paintings isn't a race to rack up the highest number of completed works.   So you take your time, boy!  Your results always justify the effort, and you put your initial work on here far sooner than I would (in case it all goes wrong).
Ah Robert, you’re right, but I need a goal to complete my work! Owner’s wife wants this one for the end of the month, which is great as I work much better with a target. I’m still enjoying the painting and when I don’t, that’s the time to ease off. Speaking of which, better crack on… 😁
Today’s progress: Feels like it’s starting to take some shape- the fiddliest reflections are done so hopefully things will speed up a bit now.
