KLove these large rose hips have drawn them in the past.  Thought I would have a go with Inktense pencils..just gathered a bunch from the hedge .  Prickly  or what ..ouch .

Slyvia, you're a woman after my own heart - or liver, perhaps.  This is looking great, by the way - looking forward to the finished piece, when you've reluctantly laid the G & T aside.  I can do that, you know - doesn't it HELP a lot when the bottle's empty?
Lovely to see the subject matter next to the art. Yes, it’s looking good. Vino for me tonight.
Lovely subject matter Sylvia, looking really good so far. Suits your style.
One of my favourite wild flowers and the hips look spectacular, great start Sylvia. ps the rose hips .

G& T  first then the vino with my dinner....don't think I have any decent brandy...shucks.   We are a boozy lot on here . Maybe I will continue this tomorrow...hic.
I feel really deprived now!  I always dead head my roses, that is the ones that the local deer have left behind and I stopped drinking, when the doctors told me I had a very spotty liver.  You seem to have an enriched life Sylvia.
JThese are roses we incorporated into a hedge Linda ,sort of a posh dog rose.  So no necessity to prune or deadhead .   Enriched life....you would be surprised how very long a bottle of anything actually lasts me.

A couple of hours managed today...sans G&T.  I am enjoying using Inktense.
