I need a project.   So looking through my sketch book I found this  crocodile of kids I drew from a photograph I took of them outside the hospital window.  . So I have ordered two long box canvases 100 cm x  50cms . My aim is to do a diptych  based on this sketch. Won't get the canvases until Wednesday am looking forward to starting it.
That looks great Sylvia! Also familiar: did you post this before?
Yes Tessa a couple of years ago I think.  I also started an acrylic painting the of them.   It just didn't work. I ended up painting over them.   So fingers crossed the new attempt will work.
The sketch is excellent Sylvia, I’m looking forward to seeing it hopefully in progress but definitely the finished work.
I think the long canvases will be just the job. Look forward to seeing it.
Very Nice Drawing.... Perfect for a children's book.....
It takes me back to when I was a teacher, I'm really looking forward to seeing it progress Sylvia.
Wow got my 2 Canvases yesterday , 100 cm x 50 cm .  My original idea was to have a diptych but to fill two of these canvases  I would need a crowd of kids all huge.  So going to use just one the other one I have an idea for .  So gessoed  this one ,will give a second coat before I start....note to self  check measurements  ....though as I have one foot in the last century. I can be forgiven.
I had a delivery of a canvas yesterday from Jackson’s 62 x 76 cm and it overlaps my work surface, it’s the biggest I can deal with in the kitchen….. oh for a designated work space.
This is the biggest I have ever used Ellen....I'm a bit petrified.Oooooh no it isn't I've just remembered my one in the hall..  I enjoyed doing this it took an age . Just measured it ,it's 100cm x 70 cm... 20 cm bigger than this new one.

So it's not just me that paints in the kitchen Ellen!
Peter I have a posh Sylvs shed about a mile away at the top of the garden it's full of spiders right now, so my kitchen  is also my studio, much nicer , I can see the world go by it's warm and only a couple of spiders .
