Now I've started the trees in the mountains and we'll see how it goes,
David this is excellent! I love painting mountains and these are pretty spectacular. I really look forward to seeing how it progresses, so keep on posting updates. What medium are you using?
David this is coming together so well , it will be  beautiful when it’s finished.  I find it hard to do a basic sketch in colour pencil and would not be able to do anything this complex.
I use to paint the base. Mountains and grass in watercolors and the sky and clouds in pan pastel colors. And all the drawing of all the little details with colored pencils
So looking forward to seeing where you take this - keep going, David!
I made further progress in the trees and so far it seems to be progressing well,
It’s coming on beautifully David. Your patience is really working for you .
You certainly do have patience in abundance! It is looking magnificent. What size is the painting?
The size of the drawing is 9.2-14 inches and really the details here are very small and it really adds more to the challenge,
Initially I thought this was quite a large drawing, this idea quickly vanished when you showed photos with pencils on them.  Exceptional work David.  I look forward to seeing it's progress.
In a little while I'm going to finish this mountain, (how is it, what do you say about it for now?, just what in the picture it photographs less well than the offers and in reality the painting looks better,)

Your patience...and skill..... is paying off.  Don't rush it, it has been a pleasure to watch it develop.
