The "Skating Reverend" or "Reverend Walker Skating on Doddingston Loch" is one of the National Gallery of Scotlands most popular paintings.  I also saw this image of a Moorhen and thought.....? Feedback welcome!

It's a clever idea.
Yes, finish it - should be good! I know the original painting, as I expect we all do: it's the seriousness with which the reverend gentleman pursues his skating that makes the picture so pleasing.  And useful, if for any reason you wanted to know how clergymen dressed at the time - grist to the mill of costume designers for period plays etc.

At least the moorhen always wears the same outfit!
Still skating away, then .... good, keeping an eye on your Moorhen (delightful birds, by the way).

Thanks!  Now darkening the sky - it is Scotland in the winter after all - and that could be challenging!
