I sketched this out a last week and did a little bit of work on it , 23x36 watercolour paper a made up scene no title as yet . Bit on nostalgia as it reminds me of my childhood in the 1950s , I have spent time recently looking a old photos on line and have been inspired by them .
Looks very promising Paul. If that's 23 x 36 inches, thats going to be a big painting. I like what you have done so far, looking forward to seeing next stage.
Thanks George I had not noticed that I missed the CM after the size , would frighten the life out of me if it was inches. Manage to do quit a bit more this afternoon but still the base colours only .
I suggest that the foreground should have stronger colours. It also seems to be a sunny day but there's not much feeling of light and shadow in the painting.

Thanks fore your suggestion Keith , however I don’t think I will be acting on it as I already have in mind what I want .  Be nice to see some of your work on the gallery and be able to see how you look at your style of working . A bit  rude I realise but I do get frustrated with people who make comments about how other’s should do something but never post their own work .

Managed to get a bit more done late yesterday, need to add the harness, and tracers so that the horse and plough are connected. It then a case of looking around to see what needs tweaking but not do my usual and fiddle with it .
It brings back memories for me as well Paul, much nicer than all the huge stuff I see a lot of the time, it's looking  good.

Thanks Sylvia I must admit I’m on a bit of a nostalgia trip spent a lot of the  1950s living in the countryside on remote RAF camps with my dad  most of the area was old farms with horses still working the fields as well as tractors. Done some more and I think it done but I’m a little unsure of the distant cowed grazing, opines would be  very welcome.
Lovely painting Paul and I like the distant cows.
Thank you Denise if you like the distant cows then it  good enough for me, they stay .
Oh, your nostalgia comes across as very authentic Paul, I'm always happy to see that because it evokes nostalgia in me too. Growing up in the country, in a canton full of farms, large, open meadows and fields - that's the image I have of my childhood and what I lived and loved. I also like the pasture with cows in the distance - absolutely good as it is!
