Loving the leaves, Paul and yes, what a sky last evening!
Thank you George and Norrette , I was surprised at the light and colour of the sky it’s quite a few years since I last noticed one that that colour. I was  thinking I would change the background on my on the painting but decided to leave it , despite having a poor quality photo of the original sky I noticed I was beginning to doubt that I was actually real.
The background colour with your leaves is lovely, Dixie. Definitely no need to alter that. Its lovely.
Productivity Paul......
I’ve decided to stop here , I did rush the last few bits as o lost enthusiasm and interest in finishing it having been told I paint som crap at time .    The end result.
I don't know why anyone would say you painted some crap on times, that's a load of tosh and whoever said it is talking crap, and maybe has never picked up a brush and painted. You've made the right decision to stop, if you did any more the effect would be spoilt. Its a vibrant depiction of the subject. Painting so many leaves can be a daunting task, smashing work. Onward with the boat, now?
You've done a good job on this, and I like the nails in the post!  As for "crap" - there are those who might paint it, but more often there are those who talk it.  You've probably been a victim of the latter.
Only just catching up after being away, so I've only just seen this lovely painting. Autumn is my favourite season so I really like your painting very much Paul (or Dixie - which do you prefer?). I'm so sorry you lost enthusiasm at the end, after that very ill-judged and inaccurate comment. I've yet to see a painting of yours that I would say was in any way approaching crap. I've also caught up with "The artist at work" on the gallery and added a comment, but I don't know whether after this long you go back and check. I was interested in seeing it develop, you posted it just after I left to go on holiday! I've tried to find it on the forum but couldn't. You obviously like marine art and enjoy painting boats, do you do any boating or have done in the past?
Wonderful leaves Paul.  I am a sucker for warm colours.
Thanks Linda , I’m a great fan of the autumn colours but I don’t often paint in such vivid and bright colours well they are vivid and bright to me anyway.
Paul, did you see my post just above Linda's? I would have loved a reply, genuine questions.
Sandra  I did send you a message via POL that fully answered you question, if you haven’t received it let me know .  But to answer you question I only did a little bit of saying as a teenager in a small two man boat the single boat  .
