Start  of a 20x30cm pen and ink drawing of Harrison's Tea Rooms Warrington..
Counting bricks again Robert....
What amazes me is the speed with which you seem able to do them, without having some grossly disproportionate to the others .... practice making perfect, I imagine.   As ever - good to see these step-by-steps: an art lesson with no need of words.
Once I have counted the bricks and worked out how  many courses given my self a few pencil guide lines.....and just go with the flow.. usually sat in front of the TV, it stops me falling asleep as most of the programs are repeats or boring..
You count them ?
Yes Sylvia I count them 4 bricks + joints = 1ft victorian house 10ft rooms 3 stories 120 bricks high....anything less wouldn't look right......
Gosh ! .
Now that’s attention to detail! 😵‍💫
I would go cross eyed trying to do that much detailing, I do admire you determination to get it looking so good Barry .  Do you count bricks instead of sheep when it difficult to sleep, I tried the sheep counting lark , bloody rubbish , I worried I’d missed one.
It's just so obvious when a building has the wrong amount of bricks or roof tiles and bad perspective...I painted a life size old village for a Garden Centre Christmas spectacular some  years ago it took me 3 months and I had lots of comments from bricklayers..
Comments from Brickiesi love it.  I do admire your tenacity Bari.   No window tax on this building then.     My lovely husband did his apprenticeship as a stone mason when he left school.  So I have had a life time of looking at building construction literally all over the world .  Plus big family connections to  Paddys Wigwam and the Giles Gilbert Scott  Anglican Cathedral.
