Looks great from where I'm standing Linda love the reflections in the wall and table..
If you’re not satisfied with the acrylic, Linda, why can’t you add oil on top? Acrylic doesn’t have to be a thin underpainting. Personally, I can’t see what’s wrong but, like my latest one in acrylic, I know that I can’t seem to get the nuances with acrylic but that’s how I paint, I don’t like harsh demarcation lines.
Like it Linda it look fine .
Thank you Bari and Paul.  Marjorie I was warned off oil over thick acrylic.  Apparently W&N advise against it.  But I know I took a wrong course early on.  By the way Bari the vase is sitting on the piano, rather than a table with wall behind it.
I like it also Linda, it looks very good.
Thanks for your kind comments Denise.  If I liked my paintings, I would not improve.  I look on it as a learning experience.
I agree that oil over thick acrylic isn't a good idea - there's a difference between acrylic primer (so-called "gesso", which it isn't) and artists' acrylic paint.  Why not have a crack at it in oil paint?
I might do something similar, Robert, but I think I would chose different flowers that aren’t so hard.  But I agree that it more of an oil subject than an acrylic one.
I have finally finished fiddling and am about to put it on the gallery.  Definitely a learning experience.
I know what you mean - for me I struggle to finish my floral paintings - I tend to get nervous and leave them incomplete - any advice?
Perhaps we are both trying to achieve too much detail.   Maybe if you want detail, you should go for a simpler design.  I know that’s what I should have done.  Your detailed work is really good.  It is not easy doing all those petals.
