Forgotten how much pleasure I get from pencils and rubbers.... Need to use charcoal I think to get areas blacker....

Two very good drawings AG. Whenever I get down to using pencils I find it very absorbing and therapeutic.

You can try Mars Lumograph 8B (not sure there isn't a 9B: dark, but without the surface shine - and it doesn't smudge all over the place. Otherwise, there are conte crayons, carbon pencils, or, as Daveyboyz says, charcoal. The last three aren't often too happy about working with graphite, though.

Wonderful pencil drawings, AG, absolutely awesome in their detail. I have a great fondness for drawing and drawings, finding charcoal my favourite medium. I've noticed it doesn't go too well with graphite, though. One or the other, I'd say. Bri
