New Concept Landscape Painting of a river flowing through a canyon...  Laying out my ideas in Krita...  Digital Ink and Pencil. Shape fill tools, airbrush and stamp brushes....  Going to be concentrating mostly on rock work in this painting... I like to do interesting rock shapes....  Trees are easy... I was inspired by a recent documentary of travelling through the USA...

After several layers of work I am just building shapes and details in the rocks... Background Work and blending the water.. Also refining the trees more...

Almost finished here... I have used Corel Paintshop Pro to enhance Vibrancy of color, Brightness, Contrast, Saturation... Still needs more Blending... Happy with all the rock detail.. That what takes the most work....

"Carving A Path" Finished... I think... I may some subtle improvements later... I think I might add a Bird Or Two Flying... I have some good Stamp Brushes for those...

Interesting to watch the progress.  I'd imagined you'd work from a more detailed drawing at the start.  Not so.  Watching the distant mountains develop also of great interest.
