Indeed.  I didn't get where I am today by fiddling with kittens..... While I agree with the shadow point, the picture works.  And when a picture has worked - it may occasionally even happen to me - the soundest plan is to leave it.

The shadow has given an added texture to your work, and grounded the kitten onto, what seems, a cosy blanket.

Many thanks  Sylvia, Carole and Jae.  I will be presenting it to my friend later today, but I think I will miss it.  It has been propped up on a dining room chair, just peeping over the table for the last week as if waiting for her dinner.😢
