A few years ago I bought a large tube of Davy's Gray artists' watercolour paint; I didn't use it very often and it went quite hard so I threw it away. A few months ago I wanted to paint some snowdrops and purchased a small tube of W & N Davy'sGray artists quality paint and again it has gone quite firm, making it difficult to get out of the tube and when I squeeze a small amount out it is quite grainy and not easy to mix with water. I mentioned this to another member of my painting group and she confirmed the same experience. Has anyone else had this problem; is it just the W & N colour that acts like this or is it a common problem with this colour (although I seem to think my first tube was D/R)?
