Would you all, please, go back through the latest postings - some good, some not - and take a look at Alan's small sketch of the day (May 19th, 5" by 7"); it got pushed off the front page all too soon,but I called it a little gem, and it is. Painted in 10 minutes, it's just a perfect little watercolour; I hope it won't embarrass him if I say so, but it deserves much more attention than it got: and I know Alan by now - he'll tear it up and put it in the bin, given half a chance. Stop him, for goodness' sake - it's a wonderful piece of composition, colour, deployment of tone.
