He is inspirational - he's a lovely man - he is astonishingly productive: and I hope you told him that on Youtube .....  he finished one demo, and said something like 'well, there you go.  A bit of rubbish..' - he doesn't realize how good he is, because he can turn out good paintings in his sleep!

Not only are Alan Owen’s paintings and demos inspiring, so is the man himself. He is generous with his time, his advice and his secrets. He helped me a tremendous amount when I first started posting very bad watercolours on this site, quite a few years ago now, but with his help I started to improve. Robert is right, he is a lovely man.

I agree with all the positive comments regarding Alan Owen's painting demos. In fact, there are one or two that I have tried to paint in my watercolour pad from a few years back and they are the ones that jump out at me when I go through them.  A very generous man and I send you many thanks Alan.
