I am hoping someone here can help me. I was in Norfolk a couple of years ago and saw a painting in a charity shop window, I am guessing a copy, not the original. I would have bought it but it was too large to take back on the train. What I want to know is if anyone knows the name of the painting and/or the artist. It looked like an Edwardian lady and young girl on a desolate beach. I have attached a couple of images but because of the reflection on the window it is not that clear (and there is a reflection of me!) If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry can’t help.  But from what I can see it looks delightful.
Richard this reminds me of an artist called Fleur Grabow who paints a lot of scenes of running children in particular. I don’t think she has a Personal website but shows through the Fosse Gallery, stow on the Wold. They would know if you contact them. If it’s not her then I have no other ideas! Good luck.
Tessa have just looked at some of her paintings and can see what you mean.  Though I wouldn’t agree. I think the painting is a generation or so earlier.  Thanks for the tip re Fleur her work is  lovely.
Probably so Sylvia, but the nearest I could suggest! I went to an oil painting class with Fleur a few years ago and she was a very good teacher. She had lived and exhibited in the USA for some years, unusual style.
Thank you for your replies. As this was in a shop in Norfolk, I did wonder if it was a local artist and the beach was set in Norfolk somewhere. I did ring the shop the next day to ask if they could see if there was a signature on the picture but it had already been sold.

I’ve removed this post as it had a suspicious link attached. His other three posts also look suspicious, and attached to very old threads - I’ve left them for the time being, so that the other moderators can have a look! Update… more have been added with links to video games etc, so I’ve deleted everything that this guy has posted… obviously a scammer!
