Hello.  I've started I feel I would like to sign and vanish my work,  as I haven't done the finish touches and think I ought to 😁. I do sometimes put a little glizts on my work and thought emm how do you varnish that? Not sure if I put some else on before vanish? If anyone has an advice would be lovely 😍 Thank you 😊

Have a play with a spare piece of paper. I would think the glitter might gunk into the varnish, …spray varnish.or use glitz on top o varnish…go play.
Yes I have a spray vanish. Most of the glitter has dried up with my paint but some is laying on top bit like  chalk. Yes true or I could putting in the varnish? Thank i will go and play. 😊
Varnish! 🙄
One year my home made Christmas cards were liberally garnished with glitz .  I hadn’t used enough sticky stuff .most of the glitz had fallen off and vanished when thee recipients  opened   them up .
Hasn't traditional glitter been banned, or is at least now frowned upon?  (Environmental concerns over small plastic particles.) Whether it is or not, how about spattering with gold watercolour paint such us... https://www.jacksonsart.com/finetec-coliro-pearlcolors-mica-watercolour-paint-30mm-refill-arabic-gold-m630 Many other colours in the range... https://www.jacksonsart.com/coliro-pearlcolors-mica-watercolour-paints/ Unlike glitter, it lies flat, so won't interfere with the varnish, nor will it fall off. Just a thought  :)
It’s a good thought Colin. Must admit I had tubes of the stuff to use with grandchildren. We’re learning all the time. Gold paint may be an answer.

Thank you Colin for the info.  They are for my acrylic paintings, maybe they do Jackson acrylic ones? I am aware that glitter can be a health hazard. The one I get is a non toxic product that you can use on cake toppings. But I do have a thing about having a subtle spark. A glow 😏 not full on Christmas....... yet! 😁
You can get gold paint - usually if not invariably imitation gold - in acrylic, watercolour, and oil.  Probably in gouache too.  You can also get gold ink, and gold leaf.  All of these would be better than glitter, which is horrible stuff, never stays where it's put, and just gets glittery dust all over the carpet.  You can spatter gold acrylic and ink - and oil, if you must.... do remember to mask everything and everywhere you don't want it going, though.
Oh I see yes I get that I thought it was like a gold varnish to get. Makes sense now . To be fair I haven't been using glitter for a while,  it's just all my olds paintings stocked up and wanted to varnish them and sign. Then thought oh dear. Yes I have gold paints and found some with some little tints of spark. I do have gold leaf too😉 Just got stuck when it came to vanishing. My carpet vile anyway. It has sparkle now. Honestly I use next to nothing just a little glow. Thank you very much Robert 😊
You could use mica pigments mixed with acrylic binder (eg Bindex) on top of acrylic.
Oh I'll  check that out the mica. Thank you Collette 😊 emm I do have acrylic binder actually if I can find it in my messy area 😒 Thank you for the tip
