I have several sets of watercolors. I know the Hex values for the colors.
I would like to learn more about the color wheel.
I cannot find any tool to help me figure out the conversion
I would like to do something like put in a hex value and have it tell me one of these below
Or multiple steps to do the same if necessary.
I do not feel confident enough to do it by sight.
Any suggestions?
blue (primary)
red (primary)
yellow (primary)
green (secondary)
orange (secondary)
violet or purple (secondary)
blue-green (tertiary)
green-yellow (tertiary)
orange-red (tertiary)
purple/violet-blue (tertiary)
red-violet/purple (tertiary)

There are thousands of color wheels online
What I want to do is convert the specific hex colors in my sets to one of the CMY(k) color wheel names (examples below)
I THOUGHT there must be a tool online to do that but after much searching, I can figure out no way to do that
e.g.
blue (primary)
violet or purple (secondary)
red-violet/purple (tertiary)

I still see no place there to convert the colors in the pallets I own to names on the CMY(k) color wheel
I have figured out the Hex values for most of the colors
I want to figure out where the colors in front of me belong in the 12 sections of that color wheel
I do not have the confidence to do that by sight

One way is to use the sliders here: https://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_cmyk.asp until you get a close visual match
Another approach is to visit the website of the place you bought your colours from, find their images of the colours, and use a colourpicker tool to sample those colours directly.
Alternatively, take a photo of the colours on a white card, use the card to white balance in some kind of photo software, and use the colourpicker.
There are probably other methods, but one of these ought to work. However, the only really reliable way to assess the colours in front of you is with a spectrophotometer.

Assuming you mean the patches of colour as opposed to the names, you an use a colour tool to get what you want, as I mentioned above. I don't know what OS you're on, but on the Mac there is something called 'Digital Colour Meter' that ships with the system. You just hover the mouse over the patch of colour and it provides RGB values. These can then be converted using one of the online tools linked above to CMYK, HEX or whatever. There will be some similar tool on Windows I'm sure.

Not a circle somewhere on a color wheel that does not have the 12 segments clearly defined. e.g. #EB6B3C = purple/violet-blue (tertiary) (fake example) I'll keep searching through the many converters Perhaps I need to do it in several steps Thanks

That's absurd, because if you're looking for a cmyk value for "Name RED primary" - that's not possible because the name RED doesn't mean anything; you will find a thousand different shades of red under the name RED (just as an example). That's why the colors are defined with Hex/Rgb/Cmyk values - and NOT by the name.
