hi all just bought this and i cant find out who the artist is i think some of the signature
is missing because of the damage but wondered if anyone could recognise it form the style etc , also says below signiture poisson so maybe a french artist? the paper has a water mark fidelis M B M (and something i cant make out)

Drop the image into Google search - I would, but I've only just seen this, I've had my goulash and a nice drop of wine, and somehow - d'you know, I haven't the energy....?
Might try tomorrow. I don't recognize the style at all - colourful; a limited edition? But while it's quite individual - it's not exactly screaming an artist identity at me. I quite like it though: and it can be repaired, if you can find out who signed it, because restoring the signature could be the difficult part: hard to see.

Although it appears to be signed in pencil, and far right, which is indicative of a hand signed print, this does have all the signs of being a one-off original watercolour.
Not a particularly interesting one mind you, somewhat repetitive in subject and not any known species of fish on this planet, each having that almost dragon-like dorsal fin.
Highly unlikely that any of us would recognise this artist, I’ll be generous here and say that it has been painted by a competent amateur!
I certainly can’t offer anything of value signature wise, and I don’t think that this is a particularly easy repair although it could be done.
