Does anyone have a clue who this etching is by?
I feel it could be Japanese/Chinese influenced due to the landscape and some of the features within the painting.
I haven’t been able to identify the writing at the bottom, but on the reverse it mentions ‘kiva’ which looks similar to the writing on the bottom right.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Words on the left look like something 'Bay' - not a huge help, I know... While it may be Japanese or Chinese, it looks to me at least as if it's more of an attempt to pursue the oriental theme than an oriental work itself. So, I suspect you're right about Japanese/Chinese 'influenced'. The craquelure effect doesn't do a lot for it, in my opinion - if that's what it is. It looks more like damage than design. I'm afraid I have no idea who 'Kira' is, was, or might be - but I don't think it's a work by a yet undiscovered master.

I’ve never heard the term ‘oil etching’ used before but you’re correct about it being an etching, printed with etching ink which is thick and definitely oil based.
Looks like ?????? Ray on the left of the margin, which is where I would expect to see an edition number, so my assumption is that it’s an open edition!
I don’t know what all those dreadful lines are, surely they aren’t etched into the plate! I would have to see it to assess if this is the case or not…
Not surprisingly, like Robert, I’ve also never heard of any artist by the name of Kira… Japanese I suspect!
