Hi guys...absolute beginner with acrylics and have come across a few problems with my first couple of paintings. First I painted a still life of a jug on a table. I have noticed that it is very difficult to not have visable brush strokes. I have tried a few different types of brushes but that didnt help. Is the paint too thick? I have been using paint stright out of the tube with wet brush, as I have seen on online tutorials Also I am finding the paint very sticky and it doesnt smoothly go on to the painting. It's hard to get saturated colour and I find I have to go over the same spot multiple times to cover the canvas underneath. Thanks so much for your help...I am very glad I found this forum! :->
