Sorry no. Try the art houses. I’ve just had a quick Google search and the P Vogel there his work is completely different . But you could maybe do a more thorough search yourself.
With Sarah, Phil, Ellen, Rose the dentist, and the granddaughter whose name I forget.

Well - this is the second time a really good looking painting has been posted here for identification, or about the second time; most of them tend to be fairly awful.... P Vogel - lovely clear signature, quite a common German/Austrian/Swiss name, probably even more common in the USA: and I have no idea at all who he is/was! I have a feeling that despite the rather antique look, this is quite a modern painting; and the frame is fairly new. What does it look like from the back?

The only Vogel I know is a herbal practitioner....no joy there.

I have also just purchased a painting by the mysterious P Vogel! I came across your post whilst looking for information about the artist. I found the painting in Colchester, where did you see the picture in your photograph?

This isn't a 19th century painting, though - I suspect there's a Vogel family, which has been producing attractive paintings down the years, of which this is one. Well executed, pleasant works - not breathtakingly good, somewhat idealized, quite commercial. Though not worth a fortune. And I still can't find Mr (or Ms) P. Vogel, sadly. Are you out there, P. Vogel? Speak to us!
