Hi
I have just started using pastels with watercolour and find that the paler hues are much softer than the darks. Is this usual with all manufacturers or am I the only one to find this quirk? I notice it with both Daler Rowney and Unison. In the Jackson catalogue Kremer say their pastels are manufactured in such a way as to have a uniform consistency which makes me wonder if that is not always the case with other makes.
