I get the Painters Online things you may have missed emails, as I imagine we all do. To be honest, I usually ignore them, but today I thought I'd click on one of those things I might have missed, a new drawing by Denise Cat...... then I thought - hang on; hold hard; rein in the beasts - I've seen this before. Hardly surprising, given the date was December 2023 - I've bought a new suit and had an oven blow up since then.... Not exactly contemporaneous, is it?
Now, you know me (you LUCKY people!) I'm not one to complain. But given the rather excessive frequency of these "things you may have missed" emails (and anyway, I didn't miss this) I do find it a feature I wouldn't miss, were it to cease. Just a thought: I don't wish to irritate Dawn, or ruin the break of dawn, as it were, over her day - but all the same; isn't this a bit of the pointless side?

Only just spotted this one Robert! I think the mails you refer to are sent as a result of 'artists you follow' uploading to the site or when someone comments on your gallery work. These are all automated - I have no control over them! - so if anyone else is getting notifications late please let me know and I will ask someone to take a look.

Oh, I was just being whimsical..... you know me.. You can make it all right for me by sending me one of your cakes: I realize this could be a snag in postage terms, but I do like a bit of sponge, jam and cream - lots and lots of cream; thick, oozing cream.... ooh er: I'll be all right in a minute, really I will...

Dawn I get a message around five every day if I haven’t logged in to the site for most of the day .
It show the information you have described , it’s actually quite useful as if I don’t have time to trawl the gallery I can go straight to the ones highlighted.
I do t remember having had one telling me about paintings or items I had already viewed what has happened is if just chanced at the gallery and not looked at a painting by someone I’m following it then comes up in the list .
It’s a feature that is useful and I’m sure others use it as well
