I posted a picture in the gallery last night and when I checked to see if it had gone in okay it was way down the page (on my screen at least) behind 11 paintings which I had already seen and were posted before mine. Most of those above mine were of the same thumbnail size so it didn't quite make sense. It doesn't cause me any particular bother but it leaves me a little puzzled as to how the gallery works.
Michael, from what I've observed there are now 24 paintings on the front divided into three columns, plus the paintings of the month which run along the top. I think your image proceeds from top to bottom of each column until, it reaches the bottom RH then onto the previous page. I do think too that the problem of MP's has been addressed too as there are never more than 4 images from one person on one day.
Every time I go on the gallery the paintings to be viewed have shifted position. I can post one and it will be in the top left (as you would expect) but I can go back into the page 5 mins later and it will be somewhere else behind paintings that were already on the page when I posted mine. I find it confusing but I suppose there must be a system, but I haven't work it out yet!
There's a random element, presumably built-in and intended: I think it works quite well - things do move about a bit, but they don't get lost and shunted off into oblivion as soon as they once did.
Well Michael, as a more recent contributor to the gallery I have also been slightly puzzled, but I have also noticed that they also re-appear near the top again, as if by magic and at any given moment. It looks as though they trawl round the page looking for a place to hide, well, mine do anyway!
I thought they just moved by date and time. I posted one picture up, and 10 mintues later, it had moved down, but that was because more artists had posted their art after I posted mine. That seems logical. If I can remember what day I posted my art, I can find it again quite quickly.
