the random blurb they enter looks obvious to me it is generated spam ,,,and no where near random speech, surely it should be easy to stop it being entered,,,,, by any good programmer with code blocker;;;

Yes, email Dawn. The site, the company itself, will have to do something about this, or the whole website will be compromised.

Dawn is the online editor. The senior editorial staff are well aware of the situation regarding this current attack of spam, I've already stated this earlier. There will be nothing done about it until Dawn returns from holiday this coming Tuesday. Please be patient and let's see how things develop from then on. Nothing will be gained by emailing Dawn further, although that is your prerogative of course.
