Thank you to everyone who has contacted us with regards the change of paper in the latest issues of The Artist and Leisure Painter.  Please be assured that this is not a permanent change and is simply a solution to an ongoing, worldwide issue with paper manufacturers and dockworkers. It is unfortunate that paper is now in short supply here in the UK and to ensure we could still get your favourite art magazines delivered to your houses and into the shops, we had to use an alternative supply. Hopefully this situation will not last for too much longer and we are very thankful for your continued patience and support.
I’m in the minority here, according to Jane, but I actually preferred the matte finish in this month’s edition - I’m not overly excited about viewing artwork on shiny paper stock! I have similar tastes when it comes to varnishing my oil paintings… matte varnish every time!

I tend to agree with Alan in that I also prefer the matte finish, easier to read than the shiny paper.
