Thanks Robert but Peter had kindly directed me to it earlier. Some interesting stuff and he did answer one of my questions regarding framing. Overall I would have liked to see rather more questions being put to Mark and perhaps shorter answers but a good effort all round by both Mark and the POL team.

Hee hee - well, it takes me some time to find things, then (even now) to see them properly, then to load a link. But at least others can find it.
Yes, I agree with your reservations, but this was the first of its kind - for POL and for Mark; and as one who has done a bit of presentation and public speaking in his time, I could I think offer a tip or two: eg, you don't have to acknowledge every single comment made online, it just interrupts the flow; and try to be slightly less discursive, but these are niggles - Mark was, to start with, palpably nervous; he should be a seasoned veteran by the next time he's called upon, provided it's not too long in the waiting and his nerves build up all over again.
I think it would be well worth doing this again, and perhaps with even more notice so that more people could participate (though an impressive number did). I found it very worthwhile - and congratulations to Dawn: it would have been awful if no one had logged on to ask questions and the poor chap just had to sit there nervously twiddling his thumbs. It's certainly given me a few things to think about - including the framing issue, e.g. galleries, or this gallery, want work as a package, not an unframed canvas which they will be expected to put in a uniform frame; and the question of individual pricing; it hadn't really occurred to me that people would be unhappy with or confused by the same size of painting (in the same medium) being priced differently - and I've certainly been guilty of doing that, online. Because I've never dealt with a gallery, and have worked through private exhibitions and via the internet, I've never been confronted with this advice before -- should have thought of it myself, but there it is, I didn't.
