I would like to find a way to get over to gallery users that I think it is courtesy to post one painting at a time, leaving at least a few hours before posting again. I am finding myself increasingly frustrated by those who bang 3, 4 and 5 entries all at one, thus knocking everyone else off the front page. It is inevitable that there will be times when five or more different people all post one painting, which would have the same effect - it is the luck of the draw here. However, I do think that multiple postings are becoming more and more frequent. I have posted two paintings today, but have left several hours between postings to make sure that others on the gallery get a fair airing. The last painting I have posted looks as if it will remain on the gallery for about 5 seconds as someone is posting painting after painting in a stream. It is not that I want the whole world to see my work, but I do want my paintings to have a chance to be seen by those people who have supported me and be very helpful in the their comments. Now not everyone is going to be on their computer at a given time and any painting will only get comments from those actually present when the painting is posted. However, the longer a painting remains on the front page the more chance it has to gain all that advice that I for one find so welcome. I feel that good manners dictates that everyone shows consideration to one another and this is a situation where that level of good manners would benefit everyone. Comments please.
