I start this thread with absolutely no agenda or reference to anything about gallery comments that has gone on before - just wanted to make that clear. What I was wondering is about commenting in general. I think we all accept that people comment on the paintings that attract their attention. I am sure there are other reasons as well for commenting, but that is not the point here. Some people post work on the gallery, receive comments and never comment on anyone else's work. Do you think that if you choose to post on the gallery, presumably to get comments and feedback, that it should be expected that you have a look at others work and choose some at least to comment on? I would feel awkward I think if I posted paintings, received comments and never thought to comment on any other artist's work.
