For a beginner, knowing nothing, regarding art, this past year, being part of this community, has been the best year of my life. Apart from my family that is. POL and it's members has developed me and continues to develop me in my journey. I learn much from everything and everyone on here and can probably never really express the true meaning of that. All I can say is that art is now my 24/7, I don't really see anything else but everything I see is so much clearer. If you get my drift. I'm not a deep person but reading everyone's comment's, it's so clear, what a valuable, resourceful and helpful site this is. So thanks again.

Pre joining POL, I didn't know any artists (other than my mother) that I could actually talk to or ask even the daftest of art related questions, so I am more than grateful to have found this lovely place!
Here, is my very first acrylic painting.... it's awful, I know, but it was the start of my journey

Dawn, a very big thank you from me as well to you and the POL team. Since joining the site over six years ago (this was my first upload) it’s become a part of my daily routine and was invaluable in keeping me going during lockdown when most art club activities ground to a halt. I also enjoy taking part in all the challenges and competitions.
Thank you so much, Dawn and your happy helpers as well all the contributors, without whom the site would be derelict. I enjoy the facility and all your contributions which make up a happy positive community.
