Hi. Hopefully this year I'll try my hand at painting. I keep trying to find time. :-S
But, in meantime, can I tap into folks knowledge about oil paintings.
I live in Yorkshire. My mom bought an oil painting in the 1970's. For some reason, I always imagined that some local artist probably had painted it and perhaps gone house-to-house selling his/her work. It's something I just thought might have happened, but it's quite easy I am wrong.
I don't think there is a signature on the work.
Is there anything about it that says who painted it etc? I'm just curious. I'll put it back on the wall, when it's repaired. Thanks.
